Gorgeous blue roses dress dating c.1950s. Not labelled so the dress is probably home made, although finished to a high standard. Wide square neckline which is lower at the back. Short raglan sleeves with gusset inserts. Semi-bloused bodice with darts and contour seams to provide a lovely fitted shape. Fastens with a metal zip on the left. Slightly flared skirt finishing below the knee.
The back of the dress includes a pretty bow at the waist, with two large pleats running off it. Generous hem allowance of 2½" (6cm). The taffeta-like fabric is probably made from Tricel or similar which is cool to the touch. Unlined. Clean, pressed and ready to wear. Recommend dry clean only.
Not labelled. There is NO stretch in the fabric. The measurements provided are of the actual garment so if you measure smaller, this dress should fit you.
