Casual but ever so stylish, three-quarter-length coat dating c.1960s. Made from 100% pure new Scottish wool in shades of beige and blue plaid check. V-neck with wide, rounded lapels. Double-breasted fastening with three wood-effect buttons and three more for decoration only. Two slanted hip pockets with welts. A-line shaped coat with long, wide inset sleeves which include turned-back cuffs and one button to decorate. Fully lined in beige acetate. Labelled: Fine Woollens Woven in Scotland, Pure New Wool. Size label reads: Size 18 (vintage sizing), to bust 40, fit hips 42. The measurements provided are of the actual garment so if you measure a few inches smaller, this coat should fit you. Condition: Very good. Clean and ready to wear. There was a tiny hole on the right side of the collar which has now been repaired. Not visible. Also, the coat arrived with purple buttons and one was missing. The preivous owner must have replaced the originals so they've been changed to a colour more appropriate. The cards on which the new buttons were attached will be sent with the coat in case you wish to purchase spares. The replacement buttons are by Coats Crafts UK, Darlington, DL1 1YQ. The reference numbers for the buttons are 0514 (large) and 0513 (small). There is one spare cuff button sew next to the interior label.
